Born to Italian opera singer parents, Floria Sigismondi has led an existence forged equally in the theatre, where stories are retold, and in the avant-garde, where futures are envisioned.  Her immense influence is felt the world over, in the arenas of music video, photography, film and advertising — in each field she has brought her signature spin and never left a project without leaving a lasting impression in her wake. Floria is known for incorporating early film and painterly aesthetics to create hyper-surreal and hallucinatory dreamscapes that are unquestionable of the present moment. Sigismondi’s trademark hyper-surreal style became the energetic pulse of a spectacular Meta campaign that set the advertising world ablaze, winning a 2023 Silver Clio in recognition of her directing prowess.

Floria has re-imagined brands such as Samsung, Meta, Equinox, Target and MAC cosmetics, much as her iconic music videos helped invent and reinvent the personas of artists from David Bowie to Justin Timberlake, Katy Perry to Marilyn Manson; most recently collecting several VMA nominations for the decadent visual world of “Unholy” for Sam Smith and Kim Petras in 2023. In recent years, she has also redefined the language of luxury with poetic work for Ferrari and a visually stunning piece for Bvlgari, preceded by collaborations, over the course of many years, with visionary Creative Director Allesandro Michele.
