Believe Partners with Hoj Jomehri to produce All Day I Dream Festival Doc
The feature length documentary film is directed by Believe's own Hoj Jomehri, who is also a cofounder and the "eccentric uncle" of the music collective. All Day I Dream started on a rooftop in Brooklyn, back in 2011, and now has grown into an international community, touring Ibiza to Montreal to Mykonos. The film will focus on the origins of the festival and his close relationship to DJ Lee Burridge as they built this chosen family of musical innovators.
Hoj reveals that the inspiration behind the creative partnership, and at its core, friendship:
"By the early 2000s I was working as a DJ, influenced by the sound coming out of the UK at the time. Lee Burridge's "Nubreed" CD compilation made an impact on me, weaving together a wide range of house music into a seamless audio narrative. As I began touring more extensively, I met the man behind the CD, and we began a lifelong friendship. Often on the road together, I began to film our experiences and conversations over a decade ago. I've been screening and editing the footage as well as continuing to film Lee, now into his 50s, as he tours more extensively than ever before. As the narrative emerges, I find myself enamored with a friend who has spent 40 years as a DJ, living a lifetime of gigs.
Music has always been in the DNA of Believe Media, so naturally we were excited to get involved with this project. We are a community-driven boutique company and the strong family bond of the All Day I Dream community resonated with us.
